Our all-volunteer Board of Directors, along with our Executive Director and Chef, are committed to providing free, healthy, community meals to our neighbors in Somerville. Erica Mueller, Program Coordinator, joined Hearty Meals for All in November of 2022. She has a background in agriculture and food access.  She currently works with the Greater Boston Food Bank. She is excited to continue to grow community in Somerville through meals.

Sally Brzozowski, Board President, was introduced to Hearty Meals For All in 2012 and joined the board in 2016. She has a background in non-profit consulting with a focus on online fundraising and advocacy campaigns, as well as digital engagement strategy. She’s thrilled to be able to bring this experience to a cause closer to home through her work with Hearty Meals. Sally’s favorite Hearty Meal is shepherd’s pie.

Danielle Tubinis, Executive Director, joined Hearty Meals as Program Coordinator in August of 2016. Danielle has a background in nutrition and public health and works as a project manager in the health technology industry. Danielle’s favorite Hearty Meal is our holiday turkey dinner, served as our November meal.

Deborah Wollheim, Chef, joined Hearty meals for all in March of 2021 at the height of the COVID pandemic, as a way to help reduce the impact that the pandemic was having on the community members ability to obtain healthy, nutritious food.  Deborah has a background in counseling psychology and worked as a mental heath therapist for many years. She left the counseling field to open her first restaurant in Davis Square in 2000, and has been involved in the food industry ever since.  Deborah is happy to be back in Davis Square, cooking meals and bringing nutritious food to the table!

Denis Saulnier, Board Treasurer, has been on the Hearty Meals board since 2012. He works in educational technology and is also a proud “Big” with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay. His favorite meal is our annual summer BBQ, when we make freshly-grilled hamburgers and hot dogs to celebrate the season.

Elizabeth Yelle, Board Secretary, started volunteering with Hearty Meals in 2011 and became a member of the board in 2016. Elizabeth’s background is in marketing communications. She also loves graphic design, and is happy to use both skill sets to advance Hearty Meals’ marketing and outreach efforts. Her favorite Hearty Meal is the vegetarian lentil loaf!

Molly Mayfield, Board Advisor, has been a part of Hearty Meals since 2013, and joined the board in 2014. Molly is a registered dietitian who has worked for most of her career fighting the childhood obesity epidemic at both Boston Children’s Hospital and Tufts University. Her favorite Hearty Meal is the roasted turkey dinner with all the trimmings, aka our annual Thanksgiving meal.

Luke Tubinis, Board Advisor, has been active in Hearty Meals since 2017, and is known for operating the grill at our annual BBQ and enhancing our digital communications.

Karen Crosby-DiCenzo, Delivery Coordinator, was introduced to Hearty Meals for All in 2017 through her daughter, Executive Director, Danielle Tubinis. She works as a Contractor Services Program Manager at Black Diamond Networks in Andover, MA. Karen has served as a volunteer for several meal programs throughout the Merrimack Valley and is happy to bring her experience to Hearty Meals for All. Her favorite Hearty Meal is the St. Patrick’s Day corned beef.
