Hearty Meals for All (HMFA) is a Somerville-based nonprofit community meal program providing free locally-sourced meals to anyone in need in the community on the second Friday of every month.  Our entire program runs on the generosity and support of volunteers, in-kind donors, foundations, corporations, and individuals like you.

 Unlike other community meals and soup kitchens, HMFA serves fresh, hot meals incorporating high quality meat, sourced directly from local farms using sustainable practices, and local and organic produce whenever possible, all cooked by a professional chef. Our partnerships with local farms and businesses enhance our ability to provide the highest quality food each month.  This is in-line with our belief that everybody in the community deserves to eat “real” food that is nourishing and tasty.  Furthermore, HMFA provides a welcoming and open atmosphere that is uniquely integrative, vibrant, and non-stigmatizing, where authentic community relationships are built and guests and volunteers are one and the same.
